Hello everyone! I have schizoaffective dissorder and began treatment a few months ago. I'm doing okay and seeing improvements. I am looking for some support and to connect with others who have this condition. It's so embaressing and distressing, I don't even realize it's happening till it's over. I'm so grateful to be on medications and getting the help I need. Thanks in advance for the support!

It's so nice to know I'm not alone. It definitely feels like it. This condition can be very isolating.

Same to you! I don't think I've ever met someone with this disorder either. It's kind of embaressing I'm sure there's more people with it than we know.

If you want to expand on people that can understand I have bipolar disorder. The conditions are similar, almost like cousins. When I was manic I was extreme isolated. And for me it was the absolute worse part of the experience. So I will do what I can to try and help anyone dealing with that feeling. So if you ever want to, just reach out and we can chat.

I'm bipolar and there is a lot of commonalities with schizophrenia. I tend to think of our disorders as cousins. I can't speak for all my bipolar brothers and sisters, but if you ever just want to chat, I'd love to have a trauma bonding moment with a disorder cousin.

I'm glad the post resonates with bipolar folks as well. I thought I was struggeling with bipolar before I got help and found out from a proffessional I was struggeling with schizoaffective. The two are so similar.
