Who else has these problems? Share empathy heals.
Hey guys,
I have been good some times, and then other times I don't want to be alone, and then other times I am withdrawn and get migraines. I am trying to still get the right doses of my medications, and it is so tiring. I thought that by now everything would be back to normal. But, I just get in these modes where I'm so hyper vigilant that I can't think of anything but my thoughts. Does anyone else have schizophrenia? I was just diagnosed at my psych appointment and it feels pretty devastating. Does anyone want to chat and talk about it? I could use some support while trying to continue working on myself during this tough transition. Thanks!

It can be overwhelming to receive a diagnosis. You're not alone. What it sounds like your primary concerns are, are disappointment and anxiety.
A diagnosis can feel like the end of the world, but it's just a label. It doesn't define you. All it's really good for is helping others understand your experience a bit better, even if they'll never see the full picture.
I can understand the disappointment. You had this expectation about getting better and it never happened. Now, anxiety is coming in and almost feeding your symptoms. It leaves you feeling hopeless/helpless.

It is a struggle to find the right meds. Kind of makes you feel like a Guinea pig they are practicing on.
From what I know about scizophrenia it can look so different for each individual. Not a doctor, but the mood swings sound like bipolar or schizo affective. It doesn't matter what you call it imo. It takes time to adjust. I hope you respond well to the meds and the doctors are able to find something that helps you!
