hi! i’m lythrum, i have recently been struggling with issues related to avpd. i tend to isolate and waste the day away overwhelmed in emotions and have been stuck in that loop for awhile now. i don’t have a good support system right now which doesn’t help my loop - i really want to get unstuck and have been trying really hard to stick to a routine/get out of the house but i can’t push myself to do it most days :c some days feel easier than others but gosh, other days i want to hide in a corner and cry

Hey Lythrum, it's brave of you to reach out. Dealing with Avoidant Personality Disorder (AVPD) can be really tough, especially when you're feeling isolated and overwhelmed by your emotions. It's okay to have those tough days—it's part of the process. Trying to stick to a routine and get out of the house is a big step, even if it feels challenging. Remember to be gentle with yourself on those days when it's hard to push through. Celebrate the small victories, even if it's just getting out of bed. Finding a support system can make a big difference. Even if you don't have one right now, there are resources available—online communities, support groups, or therapy—that can offer understanding and guidance. If you feel like crying, let it out. It's okay to feel your emotions. They're valid and important. And remember, you're not alone in this. Keep taking those small steps forward, and know that brighter days are ahead.
