Need help regarding psychosis
Hello everyone ,i need help of people who are bipolar and have went through psychosis or anyone who has went through it.I am currently taking high dosage medication for my psychotic or mania episode in january.my medication makes me very slow or numb because of it..has anyone of you went through psychosis. What was your experience and if you did take treatment how did it effect you?

I have bipolar and have experienced psychosis a few times. In my personal experience I tend to feel really depressed, numb and exhausted after mania, hypomania, psychosis, or a hospital stay.
I think it may have to do with your body catching back up on what it missed out on while being sick, and getting used to new medications? But everyone is different!!!! I find it helpful to be as open as possible with my med provider so he can make a change ASAP, when necessary.

Going through a really tough time as i am told that it will that i will have to take treatment for 3 years.currently my brain is so numb that i hardly do any tasks.i am just resting most of the time...iits very hard for me to imagine that it will take so much time and i will be in such a numb state only. And one a.i app told me it will take about 18 months of treatment and then it would be tapered.its already been 5 months.but its so hard to imagine to wait for another year being like this.i just feel it would never end .
That sounds like a lot of really overwhelming information to take in and may feel pretty hopeless to hear? Especially if your goal is to get it tappered and balanced sooner rather than later.
