Side effects

I have been started on Seroquel and have been taking it for the last month. I have also been weaning off Zoloft for the last month. This week, I am having some symptoms that are heavily affecting my daily life. My head feels like it is receiving continuous small electrical zaps (I refer to it as the shockies), I have bad tinnitus, and I am easily made dizzy, and feel like I could faint at any time. It is making me miserable, and I’m noticing my anxiety and paranoia are through the roof. Has anyone else dealt with this before?

Hi @bipolarcatlady4 , As someone who has dealt with various psychiatric drug (especially Seroquel, but also took Zoloft) side effects and withdrawal effects, I can relate. From reading others’ similar experiences, I’ve learned that how each drug affects our body is so unique to each person, with a wide range of possible side effects, including brain zaps. I know from experience how isolating it can be when you don’t have anyone in your life who can understand how severe these symptoms can be, but something that has helped me to feel less alone is participating in online peer support communities for people going through this. Feel free to message me if you’d like ☀️

I am on zoloft...when I miss a couple of doses I get the "zingies". I am currently still on zoloft. but my dr said the side effects from discontinuing the medication are temporary.
