Anyone Else Great at Doing the Work, but Freezes Presenting It?
I wonder if anyone else is like me: great at getting the work done, but public speaking has always been my fatal flaw?
I have been suffering from social anxiety for years. Every time I have to deliver a presentation or host a training session for colleagues, I freeze up—my heart races and my mind goes completely blank, even though I know the material inside out. I really want to break this vicious cycle so it stops holding back my promotion and career growth.
For those in the workplace, how did you go from being "terrified of presenting" to "communicating calmly and confidently"? What was your turning point, or what practical exercise methods would you recommend? 💬

I like you used to be in that situation. Honestly, I overcame by just doing it. Public speaking is a skill that needs to be practiced. for some it is easier just like any skill.
I had a job that required me to speak up.
Also, when in meetings or situations I always hoped others would step up and articulate a concern or question. Many times, the opportunity would have passed to share vital information unless I stood up and spoke up. We all stumble at first .. but most can get thru it and learn ... watch others in your group for pointers or methods. learn by watching skilled public speakers.
You can do it.

I have read about Inderal being used just before a presentation to help out with performance anxiety. You could discuss that option with your physician.
