Dilemma About Job Opportunity

So I was offered a chance to interview for a position in a public elementary school on the administrative side, but I am facing a dilemma. This week is very challenging as I have to attend the funeral of my grandma who sadly passed away this month. They asked if I could interview either tomorrow or Friday. Obviously tomorrow is too late for me as I like to prepare for my interviews ahead of time. However, dealing with my grandma's passing and other personal matters is conflicting my time to prepare for this interview. I don't even know if I still want to move forward in the application process since they took so long to respond.

When opportunity knocks it has no idea what is happening in your life etc.

You do not have to defend a situation if you do NOT want to interview... don't.

Some places for many reasons take a long time ......school and public job always take their time IMO  to either choose candidates or plan interviews...

Are you interested in the job?   Do you need the job?  I assume you do if you are applying..

This same opportunity may not came around again.  I never think of just this job ... I think of all the connections or other things that come into my life with new jobs... friends , experiences and even connection to other better opportunities.
