Disappointed in myself
So in my career, I work with student daily, and I had a student that kind of blew up on me today and she called me out because she felt like my communication with her was inconsistent. She said that she felt like my handling of communication with her was slack, and that made her feel like she didn’t want to continue Move forward with being a part of the school that I work at anymore so I lost her as a potential student, but hurt me more than anything was the fact that it made me reflect on how I handled her and perhaps a few other students because I overload myself and try to do too many things at once so I’m having a moment of feeling a little bit inadequate because I don’t feel like I delegated some of the task that I should’ve delegated and I feel like I say yes when I should say no sometimes and because of that, I overloaded myself and caused my students to be the collateral damage in that situation. It also makes me question how well I’m really doing And makes me wonder why I say yes when I should say no because the things that are important are not always getting my attention because I have this needs to say yes, all the time.
@impartialWheel9079 Boundaries are often established after we've overstepped them and experienced the consequences. It's alright to make mistakes and learn from them. We only truly understand our limits after we've gone a little past them. I know you feel terrible about how things unfolded but I think this will help you be your best in the future.
And I think when it comes to helping others, quality always matters more than quantity. Even if you only help one person it still holds a lot of value. Maybe it'll be helpful to take a little less than what your heart says you can handle, that way you won't reach a breaking point when you're already drained.
I hope be show yourself some grace 💙
Thank you those words were actually really helpful. I really do appreciate your response.

It’s natural to feel pressured when carrying so much on your shoulders, but being aware of these points is the first step toward improvement. Try delegating some tasks and prioritizing to ease the pressure, and you’ll see a difference over time. You’re doing important work that truly deserves recognition 💚

I admire your honesty!
We can have an innate desire to help everyone and say yes to everyone, but then it becomes a juggling act, where we help no one or we stretch ourselves too thin and do a half job .
It might have been hard to hear this but in the long run, it can provide you with a platform for setting boundaries, and I my doing what you can and prioritising the students you can and not everyone!

You are overloaded. You can only do so much...You want to do more, but you can't. I am sorry it is overwhelming. I don't know how teachers do it.
