Im at a point where I dont know if I should stay in the state im in or relocate tok another state where I have family and friends, I have 2 kids and a wife and My dad is willing to let me stay in a house that he has for 2 year until I save to buy a house, I just dont know if that is a good decision. Anytime a person is in your shoes where you liked or wanted to be in that field it is hard to pivot.... to think i could do other things.......... that skills used in your former job are not valuable in other situations.

What  career are you planning to do when you move ... what jobs would you be applying  to or looking for there?

It is a good offer to have 2 years to get your finances in order...... but that only works if in that area there are good in a long term way that you see a future to buy a home and live there...

Not saying anything will happen with your dad .... but many an offer i have seen  like this...... ended with a power play of "you owe me i did this for you" situation.  How does your wife and kids feel about moving?   Is this are you know and grew up and know what opportunities there?
