How to handle anxiety?

Hi members, I am new here.

I don’t know where to start, but I have been handling a lot of work stress lately. I have had thoughts about quitting for the last 2 years, but keep running just for the money. Not sure if I should quit, continue or do something different.

@SamAndSam

sometimes in my life when i have had struggles with work and tell myself i should quit..... but then i stick with it sooner or later the feeling starts to build to push me into making a decision...

what do you want to do for work?  can you afford quitting before you have something lined up ?    perhaps planning and applying for positions  while at work will give you a feel for the job market .... it also can give you motivation to explore types of jobs and amount of pay for other jobs that may interest you.

@SamAndSam if the job has education support or options, take advantage of it. Some schools take your previous university credits and apply it to their requirements. I'm currently doing that because my job is stressful and frustrating and I could go on but I won't.

Anyways, I have four courses left to complete before I get my degree and I started the program last year I think. It helps when things get overwhelming and I feel like I am shooting the rapids on a pool floaty because I know that I am not constrained to the job. I am getting extra skills that will help me obtain a better and less stressful position l elsewhere.

@toughTiger6428 thanks, that’s very thoughtful. I can take some time off before applying for new opportunities. I have planned my break forever but just don’t have the confidence to do it! I am worried that I might not get a job again or something as good as my current job.

@SamAndSam thanks! My current class is difficult though and trying to get it done in amongst daily overwhelming work demands but I'm almost halfway done with the class!
