I am not finding a job
I wanted to be an editor I did diploma in post production then I did job for one year as a video editor but now I don’t feel like doing it and I already left the job 6 months ago.. feeling like a total ***.. don’t know what to do?? Anybody can help?

Do you feel it was the job and editing at somewhere else might be ok or did you just feel the actual work ? what attracted you to that line of study/ work?
i think many on the surface think jobs will be a good fit and after time of day in and day out they find it no longer holds there interest.

Is it editing itself, the type of content, the people, the hours? Different problems → different fixes. -
Tighten your portfolio around what you do enjoy.

A 60–90s reel.

Host it (Vimeo/YouTube/Behance) and make it easy to find.

Use freelance as a bridge.
Upwork/Fiverr/local FB/***/*** groups. Small gigs still build confidence and credits. -
Network beats cold applications.
DM classmates, ex‑coworkers, tutors: “Know anyone needing an editor?”
Hang in editor/mograph/film chats—jobs pop up there hourly. -
Add a skill that raises your rate.
Basic motion graphics (AE), color in DaVinci, light sound design. Even light MoGraph makes you stand out. -
Structure your day so you don’t spiral.
2h job hunt, 2h portfolio/learning, 1h networking. Plus sleep/move/socialize—burnout kills momentum. -
Plan B ≠ giving up.
Maybe you’re more into producing, scripting, social video strategy—lots of roles near editing.
