Is the grass greener?

I've been at my current workplace for over 10 years. I've recently been wanting to change jobs due to a number of reasons (business is ran poorly, lack of clear cut rules and procedures, drama, very little room for growth, high stress in a low stress business).

But I do have to wonder if I'd be happier somewhere else. If the grass really could be greener or if my lack of prior work experience is stopping me from seeing how good I have it. The lack of clear cut rules allows for a lot of flexibility, but I've seen it get others fired. Any possible growth would put me in a position to earn much more, but I've also watched the stress of those positions dramatically change people and do not want that for myself.

I was hoping for stories of job changes, for better or for worse. But would also love for others to vent about their work place.

@PracticalSquare12

To be honest every job has pros and cons....

some are much better but it is not something we can judge looking in from the outside either.  I left a long term job that was ok had reasonable hours/ benefits and such but as you say little room for advancement of growth.... took other job that spurred my growth and confidence. When I moved that job i took had increased my skills and i was able to do so much more and my only regret was i ahd not moved on much sooner.
