I'm so *** off. Like people are so immature, even people who are close to 50!!
The thing that ticks me off is yeah, I get that some people are immature and get *** when they hear bad feedback about them.
But these people spread it to others and gossip so much their friends ignore me. Legit how immature is that. Ugh
Is this a common occurrence though?

I know you wrote this is a vent but to answer the question YES it is common...
many people simply are incapable to take constructive feedback. AGE does not equal maturity.
gossip about whatever happened is simply trying to frame themselves as victims.
