No one wants to take imitiative

Hi everyone

It's a common scenario, and to be honest it's not completely a workplace thing, but it is related to my professional growth, hence I'm posting this here.

My teammates completely lack taking initiative. They aren't deadweight, atleast two of them aren't. The third one is another issue in itself.

But I'm finding it very hard to coordinate between this, my private life and also managing other stresses. The higher ups do not care for my mental well being. And unfortunately they see me as the face of the team

This means that every delay, every fault, every absence is first directed at me. And while I've managed it just fine at the beginning, I think I'm going to crack. There's only so much I can do, and my team doesn't want to appreciate how doing some things would really ease my burden.

It's becoming harder for me because I couldn't do some things I had in mind because of this project, and I finally realised that no one is ever going to step in. So I kind of just keep doing my own thing now. Unfortunately I lack the extreme lack of guilt they have and end up coming back, because damn it, it's my project and I can't let it die.

I've talked to them seriously about it, even threatening to remove them and implying they can leave if they're not upto it. But the message never goes through their skulls.

To make this even worse, I'm introverted and shy by nature, so doing any thing extra that requires me to interact with people puts me in a bad mood.

Basically it's a my weakness vs their weakness in a bad scenario
