The happiness after detachment
I resigned my job due to Burnout, last week.
I have been working in a organisation for the past 6 years, giving all my life and energy to it. But for the past 3 years, it had been really hectic.
i started loosing my identity slowly, my soul, my likes, my interests, my hobbies..and gave all of it to the work. I became overly anxious, overly responsible, over alert, and my nervous system was crying for help.
most recently, my health got drained significantly, that I got issues in my spine and was falling I’ll. One fine morning, I was so done with my health crisis, and put in my resignation.
But then, my life changed.
I started having more time, more peace within, o was recovering well, my mind and body became joyful and emotionally stable.
Sometime, we tighten ourselves to the stressed so too much and for too long, that we forget the havoc it is causing us. Letting it go, is the best thing we can do to ourselves
To all of them fighting challenges in work life, wishing you more strength!
Thank you for your post, @Nimika
I'm glad you've came to the decision to hand in your resignation, listened to your body, and allow it to heal. Self-care is important. I'm sure many of us overexert our energy in our careers, and often end up with burnouts. While some will bulldoze through, it takes inner strength to choose and stop working. To either take a stress leave, or in your case, resign altogether.
