burnout
hi all, i’ve been in my current job and role for 4.5 years. i am so bored and burnt out on it, it’s hard to find the joy most days. i also barely have energy to look for another job and not much else interests me right now that would pay me a decent wage. have been seeing a therapist for four years and i have learned so many tools to deal with stress. but at the end of the day, i am so exhausted. i barely have time or energy to want to see my friends or explore new hobbies so i have fulfillment outside work. things are really expensive as well, so i have to be super strict about my budget. i am so tired. i also haven’t been sleeping well and can’t remember the last time i woke up rested and feeling energized. i just want to quit my job so i can find fulfillment in my life, like a sabbatical, but its not financially possible. anyone have any tips on how to not be so stressed and tired? other than doing meditations and exercise and eating right. i do those things. thanks.

imagine what would it take to be motivated and energy?
Now your answer may say a new job or more money....
the reality is if we think the grass is greener across the street or down the road then we MUST make the trip not just think about it .... You said you have looked at other jobs did you apply at any of them?
I think when we convince ourselves nothing is changing a constant repeat we do feel lethargic and unmotivated ...no energy. find something to motivate you/ challenge you not a checklist of i am doing x, y, and z like advice said and nothing is happening
I read a quote recently that said " Your life doesn't get better by chance, it gets better by change"
make changes even small ones and things happen ... change how you approach everyday tasks maybe take a different way to go somewhere and see what things are going on beyond your rut
I would recommend talking sometime off I totally understand that finances are a major problem for you but honestly it's not that bad because living poor gives you the perspective of being contented with what one has and is also a great way for self discovery
