Without further ado, here is the prompt for today:
"You can't save everyone..."

Well now it's too late
They've "gone away"
But still here in our heart they'll stay
We didn't see them
The wandering stray
From our own little groups
And now that they're gone?
Now they're noticed by everyone
What's up with that?
We couldn't save them
And though they don't know
Their leaving has brought others to show
The parts that hurt and that used to be deep
But now that they're out there the toll's not so steep
We can't save everyone but someone can save you
If you reach out a little
From out of the blue
We can all try together
A little more tomorrow

Your ending gives a feeling that although we can't save everyone, it doesn't mean we ourselves should refrain from reaching out for our own support as well

They say, "You can't save everyone."
But some of us try
Exhaust ourselves through all hours of the night
Talking and thinking and brainstorming but just can't seem to get it right
Giving away ourselves to save someone that might not need saving
What do we do when we find out we're slaving away at a lost cause?
Hello @D3adSoul , You did a very good job describing the internal battle some may experience when trying to "save" someone! I personally resonate with the way you mentioned the exhaustion that comes in what may be a "dead end" situation if it's not our fight. Thank you for participating this week
