From the land of Tulips
Hello Around the World Community!
My name is Isra and I am a new leader in this amazing sub com. A bit about myself, I'm from the Netherlands currently living in Indonesia! I've got alot of hobbies and one of them is travelling.
So without further ado... Let's go on a small trip to the beauty of the Netherlands!
Netherlands is usually known for it's tulips, cheese, and it's windmills. But if you dig deeper, there is more to it. For example, some unique architecture places. And I'm not talking about the Cube houses nope, im taking you to.....
Groninger Museum!
This is an art museum that is known for it's colorful building. The museum has proven that a museum can be a place for both studying and relaxation. If you love photography, this is the place for you!
And our next destination is a place for those who love nature but would also like a bit of Asian, let's go a bit south.
The Clingendael Park
This park is the most popular Japanese garden which is entirely free to get in, buuut also only open for s i x w e e k s each year. So we are lucky they are open now! This garden got it's Japanese touch when the owner would bring back stuff to place it in her garden in the 20th century.
And at last, to close our small trip, we will celebrate a traditional holiday which is KINGSDAY! Yup! You heard it right. On this day, 27 April, we celebrate the birthday of our King. It is a celebration with a carnival atmosphere, where almost everyone is clothed in orange colors and where everything is decorated in the orange color, because well, Orange is our national color!
