...See more As we enter February and embrace our monthly theme [https://www.7cups.com/forum/projectsandevents/CommunityActivitiesEvents_1908/7CupsinFebruaryTheHeartofConnection_374480/], The Heart of Connection, we want to take a dedicated moment to celebrate a truly historic milestone: the 100th Anniversary of Black History Month! Originating in 1926 as "Negro History Week" through the vision of Carter G. Woodson, this month has grown into a global celebration of achievement and a vital time for reflection. This centennial anniversary is a powerful reminder of a century of progress, the strength of the human spirit, and the vital role of Black voices in our shared journey toward mental wellness and equality. We Want to Hear from You: This 100 year milestone is most meaningful when it is celebrated by our community. We are inviting everyone, Listeners and Members alike, to help us fill our forums with stories and reflections that honor this legacy. Do you have a post or a story to share? We are looking for community-led content, such as: * Highlights of Black psychologists, activists, or thinkers over the last century who have transformed mental health. * Stories on how history and heritage shape your modern journey toward healing and resilience. * Art, Poetry, and Wisdom! If you feel inspired to write a forum post to honor this 100th anniversary or any other topics related to the month, please link your post in the comments below. Hello there 👋 * Do you have any questions about Islam ? * Is there anything you want to know ?  * Do you want to share something you know ?  * Is there anything unclear that you want to learn about ?  💌 Feel free to share your thoughts and ask. I will do my best to help you and clarify everything Insha'Allah (God willing) 😊. The Holy Quran invites all of humanity to reflect, ask questions, and discover the true message of Islam. Open dialogue and the pursuit of knowledge are encouraged in the deen (religion) of peace and mercy, explicitly commanding in Surah An-Nahl [16:43] "فَاسْأَلُوا أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ" Translation of meaning: So ask the people of the message if you do not know This divine invitation emphasizes that faith should be built upon understanding rather than ignorance. By learning and exploring, everyone can find answers to their questions and experience the beauty of Islamic guidance. Additionally, the first word of the Holy Quran revealed to the Prophet Muhammad صلّى الله عليه وسلم (peace be upon him) was "إقرأ"  "Iqra" Surah Al-Alaq [96:1] which means "Read" or "Recite." This command establishes that Islam is built upon a lifelong pursuit of education, intellect, and profound reflection, inviting everyone to openly question and discover its truth. Furthermore, the invitation is inclusive of all, as knowledge isn't limited to reading but also comes through listening and understanding as stated in Surah ق Qaf [50:37] إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكْرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُۥ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى ٱلسَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيد Translation of meaning: Indeed in that is a reminder for whoever has a heart or who listens while he is present [in mind]. My screen time is quite embarrassing, but I live alone, don’t have many friends whom I can meet, not much into any hobbies, but I don’t want to rot in my bed scrolling away for hours, yet when I get off I always feel so bored and unmotivated to do something productive even though I have more than enough things to do for school and such. I’ve tried staying outside more since I live in an apartment, but since I’m always alone I just think of all the things I have to do, depressing I know. I’ve been seeing old videos from the 80s and 90s and how technology has made everything feel slower and fake and less human, I’ve feel like most of us have lost that. Have a nice day :))))
