How do you get your parents to accept the fact that you are who you are? My mom has disowned me for being into women, refuses to see my son and refuses to allow my girlfriend to come for holidays. I have been into girls since I was in middle school. I am told daily I need to get right with the lord and find a husband but that’s not what makes me happy.

Unfortunately, there is no easy button for this one. I hope that your mom some day finds a way to accept you. In the meantime, lean on those who do love you and understand what it's like to have family who can't get right with their hearts. This site is full of people who will support and encourage you.
