One thing that really helps me to prepare for a trip is to do a spreadsheet for the trip and list all of the places/activities that I have planned and then I can add the clothing, gear, shoes, etc that I will need for each day.
That really helps so much and I was inspired because I was frustrated with going places and not having the right things with me and then having to buy overpriced stuff while on a trip.

This is really a great tip! I am a person that needs to have everything organized. How much in advance do you usually do this? It seems like it requires lots of planning.
That's true an itinerary is defs helpful. Do you do the itinerary before packing then?
Either if you ever go to key west don’t rent a car unless you plan on going to the other keys also parking was 30 bucks for all day or if you go to gatlinburg stay in pigeon forge or seveirville it’s a lot less congested than gatlinburg ( plus there’s a real cool vintage motel called the way back down there)
If you're male, straight, staying in Thailand & feel like having some company, be real careful of who you pick up. Not just because of scams--there's plenty of those--but also because in certain places (particularly downtown Bangkok), there are a lot of "ladyboys".
