Amsterdam

I hope you all had a great week! It's Friday now :)
I wanted to ask if anyone has ever been to Amsterdam! It's such a beautiful place and I want to go there really bad! I would love to see the Anne Frank House and take a canal ride on the river!
If you have ever been, what are some really fun things to do and what was your experience like? ❤️
I have been to Amsterdam several times and I love it there! The Anne Frank House is amazing. So is the Van Gogh museum. I have to say though, I do prefer Maastricht to Amsterdam. Tulip season starts around the end of March/beginning of April and the tulip fields are a must. It is impossible to believe, but they are even brighter in person than in the pictures. I love the Netherlands. I live there for four years and miss it all the time! Make sure you eat some pannekoeke and some tomato soup!

Hey, I have been to Amsterdam only once but I plan to go again soon. Unfortunately, our guide changed our whole itinerary so we have not even been to Anne Frank's House. I feel like we missed seeing many things, and it was raining for the majority of the day (it was one day trip). Therefore, I was a little disappointed with the whole experience. I think Amsterdam is overrated. I liked that there were tulips planted outside, and it was my first time in the Netherlands, so it still made some impression on me. However, the atmosphere was not very good, and it was overcrowded as is common in big cities. I have been living in the Netherlands for a few years now and I love this country! The Netherlands has much more to offer and there are many nicer cities and places than Amsterdam.
@globalBraid3744 I'm sorry to hear that your itinerary was switched around 😓 I would've been so frustrated! I appreciate your advice though! Usually the cities with a lot of tourism seem to be overrated. I think a one day trip might be enough! I'd love to explore the many other cities The Netherlands has to offer! 💙
