Culture corner!

Hey guys i've been wanting to learn about different cultures for a long time but just never had the outlet. here's the first question to the thread!! Where are you from and what foods are traditional in your area?

I am from Puerto Rico and one of my favorite dishes is called pasteles

An interesting fact is that in other Spanish culture, pasteles means cakes. In Puerto Rico, pasteles are graded plantaines rapped in pork or yuka and sometimes mixed with rice and beans. I personally like to put ketchup on mine!
