How to be ourselves no matter what .... whatever awful opinions they say about us....even if we are told ...do what you want to do .... Can't help but be upset about their opinions.....

For eg: my parents says I don't have it me to crack NEET (it's an country level exam for admission in university to study medicine (or you can say an undergraduate degree).... The exam is tough and competitive....to be honest...I know deep down in my heart that if I work hard I can definitely crack it....but when my parents says that...can't help doubt myself... after all they are my biological parents who knows me from my childhood.... I can't say I am an outstanding student but I can definitely say I am an excellent student... Actually to them I have never been a daughter that they wanted me to be....they wanted an obedient daughter who does what they wanted.....I hold different opinions...compare to them.... which they don't like....it not like that i am saying my opinions and choices are always right....they just want me to do things and think like them...

@appledog2006 Hi, I'm Eric from California. In my opinion, this requires a process. There's no way to immediately succeed to ignore the comments from others. But you have to try to do it. You have to tell yourself that you can do it.

@appledog2006 Hey, I hope you are okay now. I know it take a lot of efforts to deal with situations like you mentioned and I would like to mention that I am here if you need some. I am an ex-NEET aspirant as well but in my situations things were totally opposite. My parents wanted that I became a doctor but I couldn't clear NEET twice. So, I end up choosing a different career path and I am still facing a lot of problems because only a few people enters the field I have chosen, so there's no one to guide me. But let me tell you I am honestly doing fine and trying to sort things out on my own.

There are certain things that you can do or I should say learn to help yourself:

1. Acceptance: You don't know what can happen in future, so don't be afraid of it and just give your best.

2. Resilience: You need to understand that everyone have opinions but not every opinion matters. Honestly, my friends help me out a lot than my own parents and its okay to accept it. It's okay to realize that bonds are not just about being blood related. Sometimes strangers help us more than we can imagine.

3. Peace: When you strength and your weakness balances each other out, that's when you are at peace. A person at who is at peace might fall down sometimes but eventually, they get up and move ahead.

If you have any other issue, please feel free to message me.
