Hello everyone! 

I’d love to share classical verses capturing the spirit of Al-Zir Salim—In his popular novel  :

  

​فَكُنْ مَعَ النَّاسِ كَالْمِيزَانِ مُعْتَدِلاً

وَلَا تَقُولَنَّ ذَا عَمِّي وَذَا خَالِي

  

​فَالْعِزُّ بِالسَّيْفِ لَيْسَ العِزُّ بِالمَالِ

وَالعَقْلُ يَبْنِي الحِجَى فِي كُلِّ أَحْوَالِ

  

​وَلَسْتُ أَرْضَى بِهَوَانٍ أَوْ بِظُلْمِ امْرِئٍ

إِنَّ الشَّرِيفَ عَنِ الإِذْلاَلِ مُحْتَالِي

  

​Translation:

Stand among people balanced like a fair scale,

Without letting favoritism cloud your judgment.

For true dignity comes from strength and principle, not wealth,

And wisdom builds character in all circumstances.

I never accept humiliation, nor do I wrong others,

For the noble heart always rises above dishonor.
