What am I?

So basically I'm having a hard time fitting in with any group because I don't necessarily look like part of any racial group and it just makes me sad- my mum is white (British ) and my dad is black (half Middle Eastern and half East African). I am definitely not white and you can tell from just looking at me but my hair is loose and wavy and nobody I have met would look at me and consider me black- I look mabye Arab or Pacific Islander or something? I cant claim to be Arab when I'm only 25% or anything else that I'm not and I cant really relate to any community

Don't get too hung up on race and fitting in with certain groups. I'm mixed race as well. It's definitely confusing, but just try to be yourself. Enjoy dabbling in different cultures. I find it's better to fit in with people who don't really care about your ethnicity.

Trying to fit in with a group of Arabs, for instance, you might feel challenged to show how Arab you are. Or maybe you know you're not deeply rooted in Arab tradition or culture; convincing yourself you don't belong when maybe they don't care either way.

In the end, it's exhausting to think about everyone's ethnicity and how that affects your interaction with them. Find people who judge you by the content of your character, not the color of you skin.

Best wishes, Cain
