How many languages do you speak?
The ability to speak many languages enables you to have a deeper connection with another culture. How many languages do you speak?
Been learning Italian for the past 12 years to fluency. It's crazy because I never thought I would think, read books, and even dream in Italian. I've also started learning mandarin Chinese.
@JayTee95 Wonderful! I've heard mandarin is quite hard. What are your plans to learn it?
It's funny because it's both hard and not at the same time. If you can get past the obvious difference of the characters and difficulty of reading and writing, it's quite the simple language. No propositions or verb conjugations. You literally say things like "I go store," "I happy." "Today I go doctor then go home." Very direct and to the point. It makes sense to me now why native Chinese speakers often have trouble with the flow of their sentences because they don't have any of the filler words we have.

@ElizabethGao Nice! Which was the hardest to learn and which one do you use the most?
@comfortableNight4463 I'm currently learning Spanish, so I suppose I can say it's the hardest (since I'm less fluent) haha. The language I use the most is probably English
Language is a tool. This nature itself a language. You don't need to learn languages to understand others. Because we are living over on internet, we are engaging often unknowingly. Misinterpreting life is so easy to get confused.
Mirage ahead!
I can speak three English,Afrikaans, Zulu and I'm not fluent in Sepedi but I'm trying to get there. These languages are just 4 of the 11 offical South African languages. I am also trying to learn Japanese though
