What was/is your second language?
Hey all,
Just figured this would be fun question to ask here to spur discussion.
So aside from the language we learn during our development, many of us have also acquired a second (or more) language.
For me, living in Texas when I did, my second language was and still is Spanish. Regrettably, although I used to be rather fluent in it, I did not keep studying. As such, I feel like I either lost a lot of what I learned, or that the language itself is locked away in my brain somewhere. And I just have to dig it out, haha.
So yeah, what was/is the second language you all picked up in your lives?
Heya heya! I saw this prompt and got so excited aha! I was born in Hong Kong, so my mother tongue is Cantonese. Along the way, I learned Mandarin and English! I'm currently studying French in school, and hopefully I'll be able to speak it fluently soon *fingers crossed*

I only know English (American). I tried both French and Spainish in high-school but it just did not stick in my brain (much like mathematics😁).
I wish someone,anyone would have cared more about my education. My parents didn't care and teachers and counselors just looked at the numbers not the individual.

but to be truth i m not fluent
still stories i cant understand anything in it
but i can understand native but not 100% of their talk
varying according the topic they are speaking in
i can understand self development books pretty good not bad
i still dont consider my self fluent in it and may be i will never be fluent in it becoz i m learning french now it captivate me with its beauty ...so the french is my third languge
btw there is important thing
i m not here in the website to have fun or learn language !!!
but becoz i have psychological problems
if i hadnt these problems i wd be in very different place than where i m now in
