Your special, unpopular artist / piece of art
Do you know some artist or a piece of art that you like, but isn't all that popular?
It can be music, literature, painting, etc. Just something special for you, that's not known for a lot of people.
Mine is band Florist. I realy love the singer's voice and lyrics of their songs.
Florist has some really good sounds 🎶
I love music which has good fun sounds, often no words. I enjoy the sensory experience of it and it gives me a good fuzzy feeling - I enjoy artists like Yosi Horikawa, he makes music using a lot of nature sounds and I don't see him talked about that much.
On a similar note, Mort Garson's album 'Mother Earth's Plantasia' has some excellent fun sounds too, although that work is more popular.
Oh my gosh. Horikawa sounds so nice. I've never heard music made mostly of sounds of ordinary objects istead of instruments

Yeah, when I heard Letters I inatantly thought I could listen to it while studying.
I've been listening to his music in my spare time and must admit that it's quite good for studying. It keeps me motivated during that time.

Yes I agree! It's often my concentration music, I find it relaxing, stimulating but also not distracting

Do you have a particular favourite from the album?
Some of my favorite musicians are Rauf & Faik. Especially their song “17 лет” They are very unpopular where I’m from but I know in other places of the world they are.
Their voices have realy nice harmony. I don't understand what ther are saying but still sounds good nevertheless.
I Don't Know How But They Found me (IDKHBTFM) is a great indie alternative music duo with a lot of nice music with an 80s theme but with a modern twist.
Oh, yeah. I think I've heard Choke before.
Checked some other songs. Must admit that this modern variation of 80's sounds pretty good.

I still lov the Spice Girls, does that count? Lol no they are and were very popular, of course. These days my favorites aren’t always that popular anymore like the Beatles and Bob Dylan, although that’s only among hipsters it seems. If I could think of anything close to unknown or popular that is a huge piece of me, it’s Harry Nilsson!

@StormForeshadow I love the books The Fiddler’s Gun and Fiddler’s Green by A.S. Peterson. The writing is beautiful and unconventional and not many people know about the books.
@NajmMesih3 From the description it looks like a good book. I'm running out of books to read, so I thought I could buy it and check it out. Unfortunately in my country there is only one listing for 45 euro. I'm sure it's good book though. After all you love it. That must mean something :)

I realy love having physical books. For me it's just something difderent.
I guess I could make an exception and get an e-book version.
@NajmMesih3 I've read The Fiddler's Gun and I realy like it. I've never read anything about what if feels like to be in an orphanage. Nor how it's like to be disappointment, somebody else than people want and expect you to be.
Do you think I should read the next book too? I've realy enjoyed how Fin had to kinda prove her worth to others. Now everyone knows that she's a woman and what she is capable of. I'm not sure if there will be any of that in the next book. I'm fine with how the story ended in the first book and I don't want to ruin it by reading the second book.

i listen to some very small bands - so they‘re like my hidden treasure but i also really like this book ‚when a monster calls‘ - it‘s pretty unknown even though there‘s a movie about it. anyways, the book is beautifully written and illustrated.

@tobuildahomewithajetblackheart It's a good book. I've never had contact with any people in such situations, nor have I read about it. I had no idea about what they might be going through. How it must feel. This book shed some light on this unfamiliar for me topic.
Balmorhea, Kashiwa Daisuke. Absolute gems.
@cookiemonster0 Balmorhea is one of my fav bands too. Listening to Bowspirit and Dream of Thaw with closed eyes or looking out the window at the forest is trully amazing.
Kashiwa sounds quite good too. The addition of modern, electric sounds works quite well.
@StormForeshadow I love PhantomArcade's art (artist of video game Friday Night Funkin!) and I love the website Newgrounds. Strangely enough, I can't find myself enjoying more mainstream art. :)

@georgiagalaxy It's okay. It doesn't have to be music. Anything that's special for you is fine. No matter what it is. It can even be a single photo of novice photographer that you liked for some reson. As long as it's special for you that's all that matters. That's what makes it beautifull.
Luna Li sounds nice. Quite a voice she has. I'm pretty sure I've heard Boring Again some time ago.
