1. How are you doing? You know, I’m starting to feel better than what I last felt/when I last posted. I’m feeling a little more at ease. Using this app actually helps. Although I’m just kind of talking through posts, I feel a lot better hearing from so many people. I’m really thankful for this space. 2. What are your plans for this week? I have work Monday-Friday and I take care of my nieces on Friday and Sunday. On Saturday I plan to just grocery shop and maybe bake. :) more excited for next week because it will be my birthday :) 3. What have you recently done for self care? I set up my boundaries in my relationships, friendships, and at work. This was very hard for me but I finally decided it’s time to stand up for myself and set boundaries so I’m not taken advantage of. I also have given myself a break and just relaxed to myself.

The interface for this app has changed so much since I last used it so apologies if I'm not doing this right XD 1. How are you doing? I'm quite stressed and nervous about university starting next week. I feel like my attention span has detoriated quite a lot since I finished my diploma last year and having lessons online certainly isn't helping with that. I'm also feeling like I don't have much of a stable support system these days. My close friends are all so caught up in their own lives and talking to my family is akin to talking to a wall. It's not all bad though, despite my anxiety over school, I'm excited to start a new chapter in my life and I do have 1 good friend I can talk to. But maybe I'll come back here every once in a while instead of moping alone :P 2. What are your plans for the week? I have orientation tmr so there's that. I need to speedrun a birthday gift and I gotta prepare for school so those are my vague plans XD 3. What have you done recently for self care? I did some meditation and took a nap today so that was neat. I've also been going out for walks and listening to music has always been of great help.
It is easy to be nervous about school. I think that the easiest way to get through it is to do it a day at a time. Never look at the giant pile. @DolphinsRLife99

Today has been a really rough day so far . I realise I need to get mentally strong . Can't afford to sulk and whine over my stuff all the time . But how do I get more stronger ? Meds and therapy haven't been of much help . Any ideas ?
As you know, the answer is doing lots and lots of stuff. It almost becomes a career trying to manage it all. Keep up with the therapy and the meds because you can never be sure when they might click in. For the rest of it, I do lots of small distracting activities and remind myself that they matter. I make sure that each day I walk, color, do 7 Cups, and do a puzzle. But there are lots of different things that work better for other people. Keep trying new ones (for at least a few weeks every day) until you find ones that bring you just a little calm.@calmsoulmeet

Agreed . Do you ever experience phases where you just don't find the motivation or energy to do any of the things you mentioned ? I try to do all that , but then a voice comes from inside my head which tells me that no matter what I do , my condition won't change and I will forever feel this shit :(.
Absolutely. I definitely have that voice and then I have to change things up. My biggest problem is with actual meditation. Those voices come even stronger when I attempt to meditate. So I have to try to get that same sense of calm in other ways. I constantly have to say to myself "try again".

Do u think things can be 'normal' again for people like us ? With normal I mean how things were before depression hit us .
I mean if you look at the quality of thoughts my mind produces , all of them are really intrusive , unpleasant and gross . However , that wasn't the case before depression .
I am aiming that way. It isn't perfect, but I can feel myself getting stronger some days. I am not ever expecting to be like I was before the depression. I have come to terms with that (most days). It started out as small moments that I was ignoring because the rest of the day was so painful. But by focusing on those okay times they began to happen more often. It took years of trying my hardest, but trying is everything. @calmsoulmeet

1. How are you doing? I am hanging in there. I am dealing with drama with my boyfriend and ex and I hope that she figures how to get herself some serious help. He is blaming him for her dark emotions, but she is the one who broke his heart.
2. What are your plans for this week? I plan to clean and write this week and get some coloring in.
