Valid points and different people feel different things. What used to help was reading back my journal, as I was coming out of those dark days and getting hope that I have come out of the other side and it is possible.
Also for me, routine. even if I'm not in the mood or working on auto pilot, getting something done, during the day, always eventually gets me out of the funk.
Sometimes I'll let myself wallow in sad songs and music or get myself to cry it out, which before seemed too self indulgent but now seems healthy.
Allowing myself to address and feel things, is part of my process, instead of playing the game pretend. I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine...
Actually No, I'm not but I'll get there eventually...
