My therapist thinks that I am still grieving my moms death but she died almost 4 years ago, I don't know how I am feeling i think I'm feeling a bit shocked and confused and sad.

Hey Grace,

I'm sure it must be very confusing to not know exactly how you're feeling and what's at the roots of those feelings. A period of grief can last for a long time and no two people experience exactly the same thing during this period. It's normal to be grieving the loss of a close person like your mom even after a period of years, especially when in those years you couldn't really do something with your feelings.

I wish you all the strength in the world to overcome this difficult period.

@Gracebradley32 That's okay to feel how you feel. Grieving is different for everyone at different paces or periods or how it looks.

My mom passed away almost 8 years ago, and there's not a day where I don't wish I could call and talk to her. I miss helping her make cookies and watching tv shows with her and doing her nails for her. It hurts cause on the one hand I wish I had her back, even for a day, to just talk and hug her and tell her I love her. On the other hand I almost wish I could become numb and unfeeling so it wouldn't hurt so much.
