I think I messed up or maybe I am overthinking
So me and my friends used to work at a year last year. Now that we are in college I decided I am not going ( also one of my friends who were working there decided this also). So one of my other friend at college wants to work there and she asked me how was my experience, so I told her everything. I think I may have told her too much, now I am afraid she might tell the employer what I said so I'm a bit scared. Cant trust anyone too much. I am overthinking will the employer mess up my future. A bit overthinking. I also blame myself I talk too much. I probably deserve it.

If you said something about the place ...
that might mess you up IF you want to go back THERE to work not having much effect if you move on....
First of all what could you have shared that this employer would try to get you what if someone called to verify you had worked there or something? because of personality differences most places if they verify only say dates you worked there not personal opinions most major companies do not even call on past employers etc .....how in your thoughts would this person have Any influence on your future.
you learned a lesson to be careful with how much you share and assume anything you say could be repeated so valuable lesson but most likely just discussing negative points about a job is pretty small item to worry about.

Hello there unknowncutie!
Regret is always an unpleasant feeling, sorry that now you have many overwhelming thoughts on what could happen.
What you said was referring to someone specific working there or something more generic?
It's okay if you like to talk with friends, maybe you can try to just share things in generic terms without negative details? It could help you to keep having your long talks with friends without feeling worried later on about what you shared. 💙
Fingers crossed everything will be good 🤞
I was talking my whole experience generally and what was going on. Thank you. I learned my lesson tho
@unknowncutie
That's good, isn't it? Generally isn't offending anybody, there aren't details that could lead to negative reactions.
But if you think you learned something that's good as well, we all learn from our mistakes!!
Take care
I know that overthinking can be hard. But remind yourself that you can't know the future. Nothing may happen and beating yourself up certainly won't help.
You are clear on what you might do better next time. That is enough. Move forward knowing that there were no perfect responses to begin with. @unknowncutie
