I wish I had someone to come home to
This forum post was about to be titled, 'I miss my ex', but I realize that I just miss having someone around who cares about me.
I was already living alone before the pandemic, but the social isolation has made it that much worst. I've grown to be more bitter towards people because I feel that they just don't understand my situation. I'm jealous towards couples and people who live together.
I'm just not in the mood to have fun and this boredom feels like I'm living in an empty shell. I have no desire to travel because its just not as fun when you're alone. I have some hobbies and video games, but they get old real fast.
I just hate this feeling and there's nothing I can do about it. I just wish I knew how to make a change.
I thought it was just me. My ex feels I'm wrong for not waiting to be alone! I've never had to be by myself before. Now I feel hopeless, depressed, and my anxiety is to the roof. I find myself staying at work because I feel wanted and needed there. House is not feeling like home
@Cocodcakes. Omg I do the same. I feel more upbeat at work then at home. Although I work very less hours due to my health , Howver when it's time to go home I literally Cry in my car. Cause although I feel
bkesed to have a place to stay Howver I am back to facing the Reality of reliving trauma and the feeling of loneliness
@diplomaticWest1394
i feel your pain. I also miss the idea of "family" or "tribe"... not just four cold walls when you come home. I was devastated when my first ex of 15 years left me. I have never lived as an adult without him I don't even know how to change the lightbulbs...
my ex cheated on me so it was actually a relief when he's finally gone. I feel calm when I go home... lonely yes but at least my mind is at peace... slowly I start to "enjoy" (or brainwashed myself haha) the "benefits" of living alone... I can cook whatever I like for dinner, the place is always tidy I don't need to clean up after someone else...
doesn't take away the loneliness but I tell myself peace of mind is more important.
It's great now we can come for places like 7cups and share our feelings! You can always find someone who'd listen I think it's a wonderful service
