Not your typical depression
I try to convince myself Im not depressed because I dont have textbook symptoms. Im not hopeless and I dont ponder self harm. I know I have a lot to be thankful for and I do find happiness in my life.
However, I struggle to wake up in the morning and go to bed at night. I love boxing and hanging out with my friends but I rarely do. Its so hard for me to stay motivated and committed. I live a very fortunate and happy life but something is missing.
I lie to doctors and on the depression tests and I dont know why. Ive scheduled multiple therapy sessions but I skip at the last minute.
How do you finally make that leap and get help?
@limeJet913 I know it may be hard but, please get help. Depression is exhausting and, you deserve help. You deserve to be free from this nightmare. I'm praying for you.
@limeJet913 It does sound like you are really struggling. You say that you make appointments and skip them last minute but don't know why.
I would suggest sitting in a quiet mood and have a long think and write down what crosses your mind before these appointments and what you may me afraid of. That might make you less avoidant of getting help.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
@limeJet913 Hi, Depression looks so different for everyone yet there's one common theme, it's debilitating and controlling! I'd love to work with you on how to get that control back and enjoy life again.
@limeJet913 honestly i feel the same way, i have so much to be grateful for but im just missing something i am so sad when i am alone, and yet when i actually do things with my friends who make me happy i still am sad. I feel like sad isn't the right word to describe what im feeling it just feels like im so lost and hurt, but im hurt because of myself
Faced such a problem: do not know where to buy books for children, the assortment of the nearest bookstore is not very comfortable, and prices are too high. I think we would ideally like such an option as an order through an online store. Maybe someone will tell the trusted stores? I will be very grateful.
