Overwhelmed and feeling angry
Hello,
I’ve been struggling with my current job as a bank teller I’ve been at for 2 years. The daily interactions with very needy and rude members 8 hours a day. Then after work I go home and help take care of my grandparents. I’ve lived with my grandparents for 9 years and the last two my grandpa has come down with dementia. He’s always irritated and gets yells about little things which is understandable with his mindset. My grandma is getting run down and so am I. Since I live with them most of the responsibility is put on my compared to the rest of my family.
I’ve been noticing the last few months my patience’s has become very thin. I feel like I’m walking on ice with my anger. Going to work dealing rude/ demanding clients then going home and having the same thing. I come home some days irritable and walk through the door to someone saying I need you do this or need help with. I feel like I’m going crazy most days. I’m switching careers because of this to something less stressful and I can feel more accomplished about what I do rather then being bossed around by clients.
I don’t know if this feeling is normal. With all the responsibility I have and only being 21. I’m hoping switching careers will help. Any advice?

Hi there 😊
You are having a really hard time with all the responsabilities and the demanding job. It's understandable to feel overwhelmed County3262. Probably to work full-time in a not enjoyable situation makes you feel more stressed so every other problem seems even bigger.
It'd be good if you could achieve your goals and improve your career for good. Probably you would feel proud of yourself vs feeling frustrated. Yet be aware that you can already be proud for all you are doing giving your best 💙
You are building your strong and respectable personality, which is something to treasure 🌸
I really wish things to go better soon and that you will remember to also take care of yourself. It can be just 30 minutes daily, but in the long run to have practiced self care will surely help you mentally and physically .
Best wishes
Thanks for your insight!
