What do you hate about yourself?
Depression is bizarre in how in alters the way we think. We may know logically that it is our depression making us think this way but knowing that doesn't invalidate it. So write down what exactly you hate about yourself, let it all out. Once you do look back at what you wrote. Hopefully documenting your thought process will make it easier to work through your issues. Plus we will all be here to help.
I can't seem to get happy.
like what is "happy?" - and why does it seem easier for others than me to get there and stay there? I feel like I used to be happy... but I don't get why I can't seem to be that way now.
I get in these slumps - and it gets really bad. And I don't know how to pull myself out.
I know I have an amazing and even enviable life - for the most part at least... but I just can't seem to feel better. I visited all 7 continents last year and the year before! Amazing!
Truly... but now, today - I feel like I just want to cry and have tomorrow come so today is gone.
I feel like a fraud and a failure - and that at any given time my life, my company, my connections -- are all going to slip away from me and then what?
Some days, like today ... I just wish I could have someone else run my life and tell me what to do so I would not have to make so many decisions or be held responsible for everything.
My being selfish...
I don't hate myself. I love all parts of myself - perceptively good or bad. If I don't accept who I am, then who will?
Exactly, one-in-herself.
Everything. My looks, my difficulty to stay still, my difficulty to let out my emotions, my difficulty to stay alive..
My BPD and my weight
The phoenix effect...
Not letting go of my wrath...
i will literally fight to the death for people and relationships that do not give a flying fuck about even my basic health
Giving up. Fearing that whatever I want to do wastes time. I don't know what to do with myself anymore.
caring so much about people that don't give a damn about me.
