What do you hate about yourself?
Depression is bizarre in how in alters the way we think. We may know logically that it is our depression making us think this way but knowing that doesn't invalidate it. So write down what exactly you hate about yourself, let it all out. Once you do look back at what you wrote. Hopefully documenting your thought process will make it easier to work through your issues. Plus we will all be here to help.
I hate my body, and how I struggle to lose weight no matter how hard I try.
I hate my smile.
I hate my freckles.
I how sensitive I am and how I try to please everybody.
I hate how I have to apologize for everything even when I'm not at fault.
I hate how I can't be a functioning adult because I can't drive (I never got my license because I got into a car accident when I was learning.) and I still live with my parents despite being in my late twenties.
I hate that I can't be there for anyone emotionally because I don't know how and I hate that I am in a constant battle with myself inside my head and I hate that I cry to myself in the middle of the night because I don't know how else to deal with my feelings and I hate that it's my fault that I can't talk to anyone about how I feel because I feel like it's unfair if they help me but I don't help them when they need it and I hate that I am a horrible person who is a useless waste of space and I hate that I keep having explosive arguments with my mother over meaningless things and I hate that I can't rely on anyone in my life, not because of them but because of my inability to act like a human being with human emotions and I hate that I just can't explain what is going on in my head to anyone including myself and I hate that this list is so long and insulting and I hate that all of it is true.

i meant to put something with that but idk what happned. but hunny i do the same thing. and let me tell you its not weird. in the society that live in today, crying in front of people only causes then to know our weakness. i grew up being told not to cry because it made me weak and my parents didnt want it to look like they were raising a child that cried over everything. so i didnt cry. my parents got divorced, i cried for about 5 minutes after my dad went to work but then got scared that my mom would hear me. when my mom got arrested, all three times, she told me not to cry because i was being a bad example to my sisters that its okay to cry over anything, which was a no no to my mom. just know, you are not the only one who feels this way and it is normal, but things get better. i do this too because i dont want to worry anyone. but know the people on 7cups are always here for you and we all love you. <3
@plumBlueberry2023

I am here for you if you want to talk about it . You can also connect to a listener here on 7 Cups .
Make myself sick:(
I hate my body.
I hate my need for approval.
I hate that I've internalized so much negative talk.
I hate how jealous I am of people that get love and support.
I hate how trapped I feel.
I hate how much I self-medicate.
I hate how much I abuse myself in order to please other people and feel like I deserve their attention.
I hate how I am letting myself down and can't manage to get myself out of this hole.
I keep loving someone who does not love me. It hurts everytime. And I still do it all over again the next day, like I was expecting a different result.
Hanging by her response. Delighted for any crumb of attention. Then she pulls back.
Viscious cycle. Makes me sadder. Each day.
@Milquetoaster
I am sorry to hear about that . It must be very tough for you to go through this all by yourself . I can sense that you are hurt inside .
Do connect to a listener if you need someone to talk to :)
I hate that I that I want to say everything. But that can't be true.
i hate that I can't be a friend, a good wife, or a good mother
i hate that I will be spending time with my husband and just be overwhelmed by the feeling that I just want to cry
I hate that I feel I need help but at the same time feel like no, nothing is wrong with me and I should just get the stuff done I need to get done and then it will be better.
i hate that I think I'm fat (I could loose a few pounds or more, but not as fat as I see myself) but can't motivate myself to do anything about it.
i hate that I feel this list could go on forever.
I hate my scars
I hate how terrible I feel about myself. My looks, my personality. How I'm useless and disappointed my friends and family. I hate how I have no talents and that I'm not good at anything. I mostly hate how I can't stop these bad thoughts about myself.
