@SisterHaleemaCounselor

When I'm broken inside I normally make a list of all of the positive and negative things in my life and sort out the negatives, while still appreciating the positives. :3

@SisterHaleemaCounselor I think taking opposite action can be quite powerful. In other words, doing activites that make you feel whole in spite of feeling broken. There's a saying about this I love: "You can't think your way into right action, but you can act your way into right thinking."

WHAT IF U KNOW THERE IS NO GOOD. WHAT IF ALL U CAN BE IS A LOOOSE POT HEAD.

@diplomaticNest7391 im so sorry to hear that your feeling this way.

When you have these thoughts, recognise that their purpose is to make you feel self defeated, and when you accept these thoughts to be true, then you have given up. So try to call a loved one who can hug you and tell you many I love yous if you can.

I tend to listen to music which makes me happy or rant to my frineds about it or eat aot of junk food. If worst comes to worst, then sleep it off lol

I wrote a lot during that period. I talked to my close friends, though not often, cos I felt like I'd rather have my alone time to kinda get myself together, and I felt that my mood would bring theirs down. So I just got into my own hobbies, watching shows after shows, and also got back to reading. I found listening to music wasn't exactly helpful, it was at times, but other times the lyrics just reminded me of sad memories, so yeah.. Just slowly doing things that I loved to find and fix myself :)

Currently in the throws o f depression, however I've found that creating an uplifting playlist has been helpful. While it may not be entirely comprised of postitive tunes, the music I select is either uplifting based on content on nostalgia.

@NoQualmsHere i see, so does it drown out those constant self defeating thoughts or does it mask it?

I think about good things in my life. Or worse things that happened in the past. Because when i remember what i have been through, i say to myself 'if you survived from that, you can survive everything!'

Doing the things I love, talking to people who care for me and spending my time going through good memoris helps mend those cracks sometimes.

When I feel broken inside I get out my art supplies and draw. It helps me to get my pain out and I feel better. I enjoy looking for new materials that help me to express myself.heart
