@charmingPineapple2885 Hello! How are you doing? Before I start, I just want to preface that I am not am medical professional and it's always important to talk to your doctors if you have any questions or concerns.

I have been on anxiety medications for 8 years and I've had ups and downs with them. Honestly, I am very grateful for them but it can take some time to find what works best for you. Is this the first one you've taken? Sometimes, it may not be the right one for you. I would wait and see how the dosage increase affects you and then if it doesn't, maybe talk about a different med with your doctor. I know it can get very frustrating at times when you don't see any progress but it's important to be patient and have faith in yourself and your doctor. It's hard to wait for the right medication, but you will find it and it will make you feel better in time! Please try to be patient with yourself and you will get there! I am proud of you! ❤️

Sometimes you do have to experiment quite a bit to find a workable one. Keep your doctor informed really regularly about how each one is working for you. @charmingPineapple2885

I'm on the generic version of Lexapro, and it is the best antidepressant I have ever taken. I've tried about 6 or 7 different medications, and Lexapro is the only one that ever helped me. Have you tried that one?

@charmingPineapple2885. Hello there. Yes it does take sometime to work or even figure the one that’s best for you. I was on Paxil 20mg for about 13 years. It worked but then I had to switch. It took about 2 or 3 tries before they found another one that works. It ended up being 20mg of Lexapro for me but it could be different for you. It can get frustrating but they will find one for you that works
