A quick vent

think I've probably posted something similar about just being tired with depression before, but when I'm at my worst I come to 7cups. And in total honesty I'm probably not even bothered if anyone reads this but I just have to vent and get it out. And this place has always been my place to go. I think I've said this before but how can you be so insanely happy yet depressed at the same time. I have no energy, no motivation, no pride, no urge, no want for anything. I don't want to feel this way anymore. I just need help

@AngelHS 🙁 depression is not easy bless you 🙁 and you can vent here as much as you like, we'll always listen 💖 I think depression can hit us all in different ways that's why some of us can be happy🙂 remember no 2 people are the same we all feel and cope in our own ways💖 But yeah I know how hard it can be, and the feeling of wanting to give up🙁 there is no easy fix for some, but knowing that you are heard can make a huge difference 💖 sits beside you and hugs you tightly 💗right here for you 💗

Reading your message has made me feel a little better already. I did try to say some other things but the forum wouldn't let me. My depression has been a part of me for almost 16 years and I've fought through, meds, therapy, everything. My life changed almost two years ago and I started to believe my depression was over, forgetting to take my antidepressants, stopping them, then I started to drop hard. I have spoke to my doc and started again but now my problem is I have no one to talk to. There's so many professionals out there, but I don't want to sit and talk for an hour and then have to wait a week to talk again. I just give up tbh lol

@AngelHS therapists aren't suitable for everyone, sometimes just a friendly voice and some one to understand us is all we need💖💖 venting here really helps me, even if I do repeat myself. Just know you are not alone in this and you can reach out here as often as you like💖💖 hugs you tightly 💗

Honestly, I don't know if I want a therapist, a friend, I don't know what I want. I just feel like I want someone to talk to. To rant, to say everything that is stuck inside me....but I have no-one so this place becomes my everything to an extent lol

I understand how you feel. It feels like I'm living a double life because you would take one look at me and never think I am depressed. Yet here I am feeling the emptiness inside me that's always been there. does it ever get better

I ask myself that question everyday and have done for I don't know how many years. Yes it does get better, but then it might get bad again and it's an endless cycle. All we have to do it keep going. Keep moving forward. I feel like I live a double life and I just keep living it

I also am dealing with similar things that you have listed here. I found they by breaking ToDo items into smaller sections, I tend to accomplish more instead of becoming easily overwhelmed. Then, once Zi have completed one step, reward myself with a non-good item, like15 minutes in the sunshine listening to my favorite music. Then I tell myself that if I complete the next step, I can nap for 15 minutes or so. That seems keto me progressing when Zi felt do unmotivated. An accountability partner can also help. If your like me, I usually show up more consistently for others than I do for myself. Do, if my partner asks me if have gotten something accomplished I won’t want to have to admit that Zi blew it off and didn’t keto my word! Know what I mean?

Hugs, Paula

I haven't replied to this yet because I go through phases where I vent then kinda run away, somewhat feeling silly for venting. But I want you all to know I appreciate you all for responding to me and I have read everything, and I also truly appreciate the fact that total strangers care enough to reply to me. I don't want you to think I'm rude but thank you. Thank you everyone here for being my safe space. I love you all
