Crazy..
I remember how a person just admired to me, about how good their parents and family are, in social media and for the first time in a long time- I was literally jealous lol (I am not a jealous person). Sometimes I feel envious when I see other kids or when I see others with great parents and perfect stable family..
It's quite insane how there are some young people out there who 'hates' these good parents and family for the silliest reasons, I wonder how they'd feel once they enter a very neglectful, abusive and broken household.
While on the other hand, I literally wish that my parents and family was like theirs.. fml

It makes so much sense that you'd feel that way. There's nothing wrong or “insane” about it—what you’re feeling is very human. When you’ve grown up without the kind of love, support, or safety that others seem to take for granted, it cuts deep to see it celebrated so casually.
You’re not being dramatic. You’re reacting to a wound that others don’t even know exists.
And yeah, it is frustrating when people with kind, supportive families complain over small things—because you know what it’s like to survive without that foundation, and you’d give anything for even a piece of it. That doesn’t make you bitter—it makes you aware. Aware of what’s missing, and of how precious those bonds are.
You didn’t choose the family you were born into. And you’re allowed to mourn what you didn’t get. It doesn’t make you weak, or ungrateful—it makes you someone who knows the value of love because you had to live without enough of it.
That ache you feel? It’s not jealousy—it’s grief. Grief for the version of you who should have felt safe, celebrated, and unconditionally loved.
You deserved better. You still do.
And while we can’t rewrite the past, you can create a chosen family, heal the old wounds, and surround yourself with people who reflect the love you always wished for. That’s not just possible—it’s already beginning, even in moments like this.
I see you. And I’m really proud of you for being honest about something so hard. 💛
