Dark Cloud
Hi, I'm a 48 year old married mom of 3 children. I have a boy (15) and 2 girls (9 and almost 12. Parenting has been tough, my older daughter is failing some of her classes and has no desire to do better for herself. I am in contact with some of the staff to tey to help her. My husband and I bicker almost daily. It usually starts because we are not on the same page on a few things. He's very strict with homework, and I'm taking the teacher's advice to have her do a few math problems a day. She gets very overwhelmed easily, and she also has ADHD. He also is a perfectionist and nit picks about random things. I feel like my tolerance is extremely low now for everything. I get worked up about other drivers being unsafe, people talking over each other, multiple people talking to me at the same time, people smacking their lips while eating, noises from the tablet (mainly from whoever they're talking to-wrappers, stuff being moved over the mic, etc.) I don't know if the agitation is just part of getting older or what. I feel like I have lost the joy I had before, when the kids were little. Everything felt so much easier then.
I am sad that things just aren't going to plan for you. Dealing with a ADHD child is very rough because they have a hard time concentrating.
Dealing with a difficult π spouse can make things harder!
It sounds like you need a break, you need "me time!"
Sending π« and good vibes β¨οΈ your way!

You are going through alot.
And it's so easy to become overwhelmed and allow things to get on top of us.
It's understandable the small things would irritate you, how could they not.
Try and make some time in your day off you.
You are a great mother and wife and you are doing your best, your feelings matter too though ππ
