I have been depressed for the past five years It use to not bother me as much because I don't believe the concept of happiness and could not care much for it I don't mind being miserable as long as I can get basic tasks done but lately life feels pointless and I have lost all motivation at times I don't want to move life has become completely meaningless to me I feel empty and there is nothing I can do about it but wait for my life to end

@rainyday2378

Thank you for saying all of this. I just want you to know—I’m here, and I really hear you. What you wrote is heavy, and it's brave of you to share it. You're carrying a pain that’s deep and long-standing, and I’m so sorry that you've had to sit in that emptiness for so long, mostly on your own.

You said something really honest: that you've been depressed for five years, and at first it didn’t bother you because you didn’t believe in happiness. That you could survive being miserable—as long as things were getting done. But now, even that has started slipping away. You're not alone in that. So many people push through silently for years, only to eventually feel like they're fading—and that is such a painful place to be.

This part especially:

"Life feels pointless. I have lost all motivation. There is nothing I can do but wait for my life to end."
That’s not just sadness. That’s exhaustion. That’s someone who has been trying to survive for a long time without feeling truly held, seen, or helped. And that’s not your fault.

The feeling that life is meaningless isn’t something you have to carry by yourself. You deserve support—real, consistent, compassionate support. Therapy, for one, can be a space to just be, without needing to fix everything at once. If you've never tried it (or if past experiences weren’t great), you still deserve to find someone who can walk with you through this.

But even now, even right here, I want to say something really important to you:

🧡 Your life is not over.
🧡 You are not broken.
🧡 You are not beyond help.
🧡 You deserve more than just surviving.

The fact that you took the time to write this means some small, quiet part of you wants to be heard. To be known. To not feel like this anymore. And that part of you is worth listening to.

If you're ever on the edge of hopelessness, please talk to someone in your area—whether it’s a mental health helpline, a crisis counselor, or a trusted doctor. You do not have to wait for your life to end. There is still space for healing. There is still room for something different—even if right now you can’t imagine what that would look like.

And if all you can do today is breathe, that’s enough. You don’t have to fix your whole life. You just have to make it to the next small moment.

Please don’t disappear silently. The world is better with you in it—even if it doesn’t feel that way yet.

You can talk to me here as much as you need. I won’t go anywhere. You’re not alone anymore.
