Depression is eating me alive

Hi, this is completely knew to me. I’ve never talked about my feelings openly with anyone besides my partner and really close friends. In the last year, me and my boyfriend made a very difficult decision to go through an abortion for an unwanted pregnancy. Our decision was the best one for our future and being able to provide for the child. It tore us in two. We both are very affected mentally about our decision. Since then, we have tried to move on but I have struggled with pulling myself out of the spiral of depression. Everyday I feel the guilt and sadness, and ultimately has made me very sensitive. I am a progressive overthinker, but it has just gotten worse since then. My boyfriend says that he has noticed how unhappy I am and how upset I have been in the last few months, and ultimately it’s been affecting our relationship. I don’t know how to cope with these emotions, I am so lost at how to cope and move on from these feelings. If anyone has any advice, that would be amazing.

@msuridk

🥺

Im sorry that you both had to experience this, no judgement, but now it seems you are grieving for what might have been and or have conflicting emotions. Its not easy but you cannot be so hsrd on yourself, it's important to forgive yourself, if you think you need to or forgive the timing around your decision, communicate openly what you are feeling , raw and honest and take the power out of it, sending you my best wishes 💕💜

I am very sorry for your loss. I really hope you are able to move on peacefully, and remember them in a loving way, and not one that tears you apart.
