Does anyone else feel this way? How do you get over it?

I’ve had heart breaks, work traumas, losing direction, problems with people, this and that, this and that. Now at this point, I feel my body has betrayed me, because I seek escape and given the amount of crying I did, the headache I had, the voice choking I had, I was expecting me to just collapse and escape, but turns out next day, every next day my mind forgets the entire trauma, making me go through it again. No escape plan whatsoever. Putting me into the same trap over and over again. Right now, I can’t get a direction, I can’t rely on ocd like doing things a certain number of times to keep me grounded, I can’t rely on songs that’ll help me get through it, I’ve no plans, I’ve no ideas, I’m just blank. Blank. And nothing absolutely nothing is happening

@Krystal363

It can be tough.

Tiring.

Isolating.

It can take all of your energy to come through it.

It does pass.

The days can and do get better 💚

I experienced something similar, I felt my body and mind had shutdown. I learned that I was subconsciously protecting myself from further damage. Almost like our fight/flight system kicked in, and rather than keeping ourselves in panic mode, things get turned off. I think in your case, it's making you forget things, so, things are repeatedly playing over and over. Like, your subconscious mind is trying to process each problem.

I think a good approach is to try and deal with each problem, one at a time. Write things down, your feelings, what has happened, what do you think will happen, what do you think should happen.. just let your thoughts flow and write it all down. Then, look over what you wrote and make note of what is real, and then, look for ways to move forward.

It will be overwhelming at first, but sometimes, we just need to slow ourselves down and deal with one thing at a time. Our brains aren't wired to deal with so many emotions all at once, that's why on a subconscious level, when it is overloaded with emotions, we shutdown. But you're in a good spot, you've noticed what your body is doing and has reached out.

I'm not sure if what I've shared is helpful, but I hope it gave you some ideas.
