Family won't help
Me and my partner are on thin ice right now because of how my mental health has been affecting our relationship over the last 2 years and today I asked if I could stay at my parents house for a while so I could have a break from my partner and our baby. My mum was willing but my step-dad wasn't because he "doesn't trust" my partner.
This has made me feel very alone and unsupported and now my partner wants to cut off my step-dad from seeing our baby.
I don't know how to feel about it all I'm very overwhelmed, I have also never cut someone off before so I'm nervous. Any advice would be welcome.

I imagine it's hard not to feel abandoned when you ask someone for help and they refuse.
It sounds like you might be stuck between a rock and a hard place, trying to please everyone. And that can be an impossible, overwhelming task. It's a little uncertain to me why your step dad not trusting your partner means you can't stay with him and your mum. But it's also not clear to me why your step dad saying no to you staying means you should cut them off. It's sounds a bit like an attempt at revenge or punishment, rather than an attempt to create safe boundaries. But perhaps I'm missing something.
One thing that came to my mind is that you don't have to cut off the same people as your partner. You can make your own decision. So if they want to cut off your step dad and you dont feel it is right, then you don't have to do the same. It might cause conflict to not do the same, but that doesn't mean you have to.
