Getting my words out
Hello I'm 14 and I have always been a troubled kid I guess, it started with my whole first 6 years of life that my brain just completely forgot about but the main problem that has haunted me my entire life is getting my thoughts to words going to therapy people ask why did you do this how did you feel and honestly I don't know and it gets so frustrating you want to cry. I make stories in my head then when I try to write them they disappear what words are there that I can use?
@LonelyOwl10 Hello owl, welcome to 7Cups. Thank you for being here with us and reaching out. I appreciate you opened up about your challenges with us. It feels like you have experienced some challenging situations in your past, which have left you feeling frustrated and unable to articulate your thoughts. I get it how this would cause a lot of distress. What happens when you try to write down these stories, do you find that certain words or emotions come up more than others?
Please know you have all of us here with you to support. Keep sharing!
The simplest words with the most complex of meanings come from the heart. Release yourself from your false thoughts and realize that you are doing enough by simply showing up. Speak freely, even more when it’s the truth. I can empathize with you as I have had an effed up brain since young too but I’m 38 now and I’ve noticed that you owe it to yourself and others to say what you need to say. Honesty moves one forward no matter how rough the seas. Good Luck my fellow mental wellness traveler!
