Grieving

I talked to someone closes to me at certain moment, about my scar and grief for 27 years of loss and a mother's death that I’m depressed , but he made me feel small around him.

And his responses… “it’s past,” “move on,” “ignorant,” “not my monkey not my circus,” “I hate those kind of people”, “waste your life.” That’s not gentle

It is painful that you were met with those responses when you were sharing something so emotional and painful. Grief doesn't have a timeline, and losing a mother can be painful throughout our lives. You deserve compassion, healing, and a listening ear—not judgment or dismissal. Please take care of yourself, and remember that your pain is real and that you deserve care and healing.

Aww thank you, for me it is a proof that it still matters, I think grief that lasts this long, isn't a problem to solve. this time my relationship with my mom continues but in a different form, I'd like to say she's always there and just watching me. I wanna take it in a positive way.

I like how you captured it. It sounds like the two of you were really close. I bet that she would love you to carry it in you as a source of your strength and comfort.

I recently lost a very close friend. They didn’t die but were not able to stay in contact. It’s been only 2 months and keep processing it. I feel that this connection is still with me. The warmth, the comfort, the reassurance. There are still moments, when I remember something and it hits me that it just the past now. It hurts to not be able to look forward for more. But then, I choose to look inside myself and feel what it gave me. Some of it feels like it’s part of me now. It is mine to keep.

This is often something people will say without realizing it's not what you need to hear to heal. Your grieve is real, your pain is real, your loss is real... and it takes time and love to heal. Those conversations where we open ouselves are meant to be meaningful and to reunite us but sadly sometimes when the response is not what we needed, it makes us feel even more alone stuck in our own sadness. Be reassured, grieving can be really hard emotionnaly, for many years. And when you'll heal, you wont forget the love of the person you lost. It will still be there. One day, when its time to leave the sadness, it wont mean you leave behind the memories and who you were with your mom.

Hopefully you can feel that I care for you and hope for the best. Keep fighting Xox
