Help (also in ADHD because I felt like it was a mix)
I want to do things, big and small, but just don't. I feel like crap, but I still don't. Often times these things have severe long term consequences, and I still just don't. I beat myself up about not doing it, but I still just don't. Nothing gets me to just do it, not even when it's what I want. I have literally gone a day without food in the past, not because there was no food, or because I was busy, but because I just didn't eat. I wanted to eat, and in fact one day I had a choice between eating one of my favourite foods and being in pain from the lack of food, and I still didn't get up. This applies to every single aspect of my life, to varying degrees. When I've reached out to friends, they just call me lazy, and say that other people who have it worse were able to just do it, and they refuse to acknowledge that I want to.
@Plumpinator It sounds like you are experiencing a lot of difficulty following through on tasks, both big and small, even when you want to do them. That must feel very frustrating. I can understand why friends might see it as laziness from the outside, but it seems like there's something more going on for you internally. You're not alone in struggling with motivation at times.
@Plumpinator
this is a symptom of adhd there's nothing wrong as someone with adhd and autism I understand the struggles of even getting up in the morning or remembering to drink water this is normal for us I have like 7 missing assignments and I know I have to do them but I just cant no matter how much I want to. your not alone in feeling this way, things that actually help are making lists you can try downloading fun ones if that helps <3 /p
